Nature-Care-Cameroon (N-CARE) is a registered Cameroonian non-profit Conservation and Development Association operating in the North-West Region of Cameroon, with headquarters in Kumbo-Bui Division.
N-CARE was set-up in 2008, legalized in 2011 and run by a group of volunteers trained in diverse agricultural, environmental and community development disciplines with focus on implementing practical hands-on community driven projects aimed at restoring fragile ecosystems, species conservation, and protected area management.
N-CARE is also promoting Climate Smart Agriculture, WASH, Environmental Education, as well as empowering local communities especially women through innovative economic and livelihood development initiatives.

Our unique community-based development model is based on the philosophy that the best way to help those most in need is to involve them directly in the design and implementation of local agricultural, environmental and economic development initiatives.
This creates ownership, involvement, and financial sustainability well into the future. Our proven development model of training and execution, coupled with an enterprise approach, engages and inspire local residents to preserve their precious natural resources.
Success in community-based development means understanding local needs. Working with the community members, we help the groups address their concerns and common interest.
A very strong partnership with local organizations and consultants are crucial for each of our projects.
The solution needs to fit into the existing social system, have clear objectives, and ways to measure success.
Monitoring and evaluating are essential tools when determining the effectiveness of the project. Lessons learned from the initial implementation can be applied to current and future projects.
