N-CARE’s mission is to enhance the livelihoods of the rural poor, promote gender balance and foster community development through the promotion of sound agricultural practices, sustainable management of natural resources and educational support for the under-privileged.

Our goal is to strengthen local capacities through education, extension and the development and promotion of activities that support both local livelihoods and biodiversity conservation. This goal is achieved through the initiation of development actions that would improve the living conditions of local people; promotion of sound agricultural practices and the proper and sustainable use of natural resources.

Key activities to accomplish the aforementioned goals, our specific objectives are in the area of:

  1. Sustainable Agriculture (Food crop production via agroforestry, Organic farming, Beekeeping and Livestock farming).
  2. Biodiversity Conservation (Restoration and protection of degraded community watersheds/forests, Conservation Education, Policy Dissemination,  Tree Nursery Establishment, Tree planting and environmental education in primary and secondary schools).
  3. Local Economic Development (Enhancing the livelihood opportunities for rural women through agricultural value chain development, promotion of forest-based income activities, micro-finance and vocational trainings).
  4. Community Development (Hygiene and Sanitation, Water Extension and Waste Management).
